Staff Psychologist
Dr. Cohen received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from William James College in 2021, preceded by a master’s degree in professional psychology from William James College. Prior to this, he received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Marist College. Dr. Cohen has extensive experience providing pre-employment and fitness-for-duty psychological evaluations to police and public safety agencies across the country. Dr. Cohen completed his Pre-Doctoral Internship at the University of Memphis, where he conducted therapy and evaluations. Dr. Cohen has provided psychological services in a variety of settings, including outpatient community mental health, private practice, and college/university centers. He is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police and the IACP Police Psychological Services Section, the Society for Police and Criminal Psychology, the American Psychological Association, and the American Psychological Association Division 18 for Psychologists in Public Service. He completed his Postdoctoral Fellowship with Psychological Dimensions in February 2023 and received specialized education, supervision, and training in police and public safety psychology, and he is a licensed psychologist with PSYPACT APIT authorization to practice in 39 states.
